A Legacy of Love
Aiden was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him—kind, compassionate, and endlessly welcoming. He had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and included.
The Aiden Léo Goodwin Memorial Fund was created to honour Aiden’s life by supporting the values he held dear. Through this fund, we are keeping his generous spirit alive—one that uplifts others, opens doors, and brings people together.

About the Fund
From a young age, Aiden's kind heart and joyful spirit left a lasting mark on everyone he met. Whether playing hockey or in the gym, in the classroom, or out in the community, he brought people together with his warmth, humour, and ability to make everyone feel included.
The Aiden Léo Goodwin Memorial Fund offers a meaningful way for friends, family, and our wider community to celebrate his life. Every initiative supported through the fund is rooted in the same qualities that defined Aiden: empathy, generosity, connection, and joy. Through character awards, community support, and inclusive programming, we aim to carry his light forward—so that others may continue to be inspired by the values he embodied so naturally.
Our Objectives
The Aiden Léo Goodwin Memorial Fund exists to carry forward Aiden’s spirit of generosity, kindness, and community. The fund focuses on three main areas that reflect the values Aiden lived by: recognizing character through an annual student award, promoting access to inclusive sports and fitness through Aiden’s Play It Forward, and helping alleviate food insecurity for local families.
Each initiative is a reflection of Aiden’s compassion and the joy he found in lifting others up.
Aiden’s Play It Forward
Aiden believed in fairness, inclusion, and the power of being part of a team. He knew that sports could build confidence, create friendships, and teach life lessons—and he wanted everyone to have the chance to be included.
Aiden’s Play It Forward was created to honour that belief by offering financial assistance to families who need support enrolling their children in registered sports programs. Through this initiative, we’re helping ensure that cost doesn’t prevent a child from participating, growing, and feeling like they belong.
